A vision of the future? Mark Wright loses his looks and piles on the pounds in alternative TOWIE universe in new series trailer

By EMILY SHERIDAN

A vision of the future? Mark Wright appears to have piled on the pounds and aged somewhat as he films an advert for the third series of The Only Way Is Essex with fiancée Lauren Goodger

Throughout the first two series of The Only Way Is Essex, Mark Wright has been seen putting down his best friend James 'Arg' Argent, criticising his weight and fashion choices.

But it looks like the reality's show producers have given wedding singer Arg a chance to get his own back in their vision of an alternative TOWIE future.

Dressed in a fatsuit and prosthetics on his face to given him a double chin, an overweight Mark is confronted with his more successful friend Arg driving a Ferrari.

'Now who's the chubby one?' After being criticised herself over her weight by Mark in several episodes, Lauren gets to have the last laugh

Although his fiancée Lauren Goodger had barely aged at all, Mark was covered in wrinkles.

And it looked like he was now the obedient husband instead of wayward fiancé as he was known in the last series, and was carrying a baby's nappy bag while Lauren pushed a pram with the couple's fictional twins.

Filming on location in High Beech, Essex, yesterday, Mark looked like he was in his element showing off his acting skills.

It's not real: Mark shows off his prosthetic belly inbetween takes

He appeared to be happy to cover up his toned physique, while Arg landed the best role in the ad - driving a slick black Ferrari.

The appearance of Joey Essex and Harry Derbidge confirmed both would be back for the show, with the current list of who would be returning for the upcoming third series still not known.

Despite the suggestive photos, Wright wasn't giving too much away on his Twitter page today: 'Morning all. Filming something special 2day with the gang.'

'Oh my God, did you used to be Mark Wright?' The couple bump into Harry Derbidge

That's better: Mark shows off his real body while his friend Arg looks comfortable in his pyjama bottoms and T-shirt

The new Mr and Mrs Humphries jet off on a 'quick' European honeymoon before Kim gets back to work

By ANDREA MAGRATH

Newlyweds: Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries jetted out of Los Angeles today bound for a 'quick' European honeymoon after their lavish wedding in Montecito, California over the weekend

Kim Kardashian and her new husband Kris Humphries jetted out of Los Angeles today following their lavish wedding over the weekend.

The newlyweds are headed to an unknown destination in Europe for a few days before setting up a temporary home in New York while Kim films her spin-off series Kourtney and Kim Take New York.

The couple looked every inch the newlyweds, holding hands and whispering to each other as they made their way through the airport.

Happy couple: Kim and Kris stayed close to each other's sides as they made their way through the airport

Kim, 30, proudly flashed her diamond wedding band which is now in place next to her enormous $2 million engagement ring.

The reality star looked glamorous as ever in a maxi dress with a plunging neckline, while Kris was casual in a white T-shirt and tracksuit bottoms.

Kris took charge in the crowded terminal, gripping his diminutive new bride's hand firmly and leading the way past fans and photographers.

Work and play: Kim found time for a quick photoshoot before flying out this afternoon

The couple spent their second night as man and wife at Kim's Beverly Hills home after spending the weekend in Santa Barbara near the Montecito estate where they tied the knot on Saturday.

Kim, who will take her husband's surname in her personal only, had previously said the couple will not honeymoon until next summer due to their hectic work schedules.

But it appears she found time for a short getaway before filming commences on the series.

The big moment: Beautiful bride Kim Kardashian was a picture of happiness as she prepared to exchange vows with fiance Kris Humphries

A spokesperson for Kardashian refused to comment on where the couple were flying to.

The couple will be toasted by their East Coast friends at a 'Welcome to New York' party thrown by Kim's friends Jason Binn and Colin Cowie.

While Kim has denied it is a second wedding party, Binn tweeted last week calling the affair a 'NY wedding celebration!'

It's time! The sneak peek of the couple's wedding showed the pair laughing with one another before the ceremony began

Kim's good friend Heidi Klum missed out on the wedding ceremony this weekend but sent her a message today via Twitter.

'Sending my congratulations to @KimKardashian & Kris from India,' the supermodel wrote. But Heidi will be able to watch the entire ceremony and reception on the TV special, airing in October, with the rest of Kim's fans.

In a sneak peek of the couple's wedding broadcast on E! yesterday, Kim could be seen gazing up at her husband as they stood hand in hand.

E! Entertainment let fans of the show have a brief glimpse of the wedding last night. The full ceremony will air on the network in early October.

Rihanna brings some colour to the Med in a loud cut-out swimsuit as she sets sail on £200,000-a-week luxury yacht

By SARAH FITZMAURICE and EMILY SHERIDAN

Making a statement: Rihanna shows off figure in a multi-coloured cut-out swimsuit as she relaxes onboard the Italian luxury yacht Latitude off the coast of the French Riviera

She named her last album Loud after her flamboyant personality and dress sense.

So even when Rihanna is off-duty on a holiday with friends, she can be relied on wear the most eye-catching swimwear available.

As she set sail off the coast of the French Riviera in a £200,000-a-week luxury yacht, the 23-year-old singer showed off her famous figure in a multi-coloured swimsuit with large cut-out panels.

This is the life: Rihanna checks out the view from one of the yacht's five decks

With her newly-brunette hair down and wild, the singer looked in high spirits as she laughed and joked on board the rented, 34ft Latitude Benetti yacht.

When she began to feel a little cool in the shade, she chucked on a black Bob Marley T-shirt.

Having sent a speedboat out to collect friends from nearby St Tropez, Rihanna looked thrilled when she saw her pals approaching the boat and was spotted waving wildly at them.

Deck life: Rihanna shares a joke with her friends in the alfresco lounge

Yo! Rihanna waves to some friends as they approach her yacht

Following two energetic performances at the V Festival in England over the weekend, no doubt the Barbadian star was looking forward to some rest and relaxation.

Having arrived in France last night, Rihanna has chartered the exclusive vessel, which includes accommodation for up to 12 people, two dressing rooms, massage and beauty salons, five decks for sunbathing and dining.

Earlier today, she was seen climbing into a speedboat to take her Latitude from the Saint Laurent Du Var port near Nice.

Luxury: Rihanna has chartered the Italian Benetti yacht Latitude, which includes six cabins and an in-house beauty salon, for £200,000-a-week

Ahead of her swimsuit show, she opted for a loose-fitting tribal print maxi skirt with a small strip bandeau top.

The singer dressed up her outfit with a statement tasselled necklace, a gold cuff and oversized rings, and carried a pair of high Louboutin heels in her hand as she climbed into the taxi boat.

Other stars currently holidaying on yachts in the area include Sir Elton John and Lord Sugar.

While Rihanna is all set for a trip of blazing sun, beautiful sea water and opulence in abundance she probably feels she deserves it after her hard work on stage at V Festival.

Holiday time: The 23-year-old singer arrived at Saint Lauren Du Var port waiting for a tender to start a holiday in the South of France

Helping hands: There were plenty of men available to help the Barbadian beauty into the tender to head out to her yacht

Snap happy: Once safely in the small boat Rihanna and her two female friends couldn't wait to document the moment with the help of a male member of staff

Sharing the love: The singer pouted at photographers as the boat was getting ready to leave for the yacht in the port in Nice

Goldenbald? David Beckham's latest look isn't a patch on the others

X marks the spot: David Beckham's neck tattoo points in the direction of his apparent bald patch

We've seen him with centre partings, crew cuts, ponytails, cornrows and even a Mohawk.

But David Beckham’s many admirers are unlikely to copy what seems to be his latest style – the bald patch.

It could of course have been a trick of the light, but the 36-year-old soccer star nicknamed Goldenballs seemed to have a chink in his tonsorial armour as he carried his six-week-old daughter Harper into a Los Angeles restaurant.

Beckham, who at one time had a multi-million-pound sponsorship deal with Brylcreem, still chooses to grease back his hair.

A life in hairstyles: Clockwise from top left, the fresh-faced teenager with centre parting in 1995; England's Captain Mohawk in 2001 and his luxuriant blond locks in 2003, running wild and tamed into a ponytail

Unfortunately, this did little to conceal the area of skin apparently visible around the crown.

In a sketch for Comic Relief last year alongside comedian James Corden, Beckham hinted that all was not well in the hair department.

As Corden pretended to style his thatch, he said: ‘I’m losing it a little bit there.’

Yesterday, award-winning hairdresser Karine Jackson said: ‘As a woman I love to look at David Beckham’s hair and I was a bit shocked to see this.

Mother's pride: David and Victoria were taking their six-week-old daughter Harper to a Los Angeles restaurant

The couple were accompanied to the restaurant by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey and his family

‘Certainly, he has been thinning over the last ten years. However, we have seen photographs of him in the ocean recently and if he was going bald you would have noticed it before.

‘Indeed, a particular bald patch is very rare in male pattern baldness so it could be a trick of the light.

'Alternatively, it could be a temporary loss caused by, for example, bruising from a football match.’

Keeping things under his hat: Beckham kept his bald patch hidden under a baseball cap as he went surfing in Malibu with his sons yesterday

Surf's up: Beckham keeps a close eye on Romeo as he hangs out on the board

If Beckham is going bald, perhaps he should seek advice from his friend Gordon Ramsay, who recently invested £30,000 in a hair transplant.

The celebrity chef joined Beckham surfing over the weekend at Malibu in California, where the former England captain and his family are renting Steven Spielberg’s beach house for the summer at £93,000 a month.

The men were joined on the beach by Beckham’s sons Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz, and Ramsay’s wife Tana.

Rescue from inferno at Branson's Necker Island: Hero Kate Winslet carries Virgin boss's mother, 90, to safety after lightning strike

By REBECCA ENGLISH and DAVID GARDNER

Devastation: Sir Richard said about 20 people, including Kate Winslet, were staying in the eight-bedroom Great House on Necker, his private isle in the British Virgin Islands

Kate Winslet and her children were among VIP guests forced to flee Sir Richard Branson’s luxury Caribbean home after a night-time blaze ripped through the building.

The multi-million-pound Great House on Necker, the Virgin tycoon’s £60million private island, was struck by lightning in the early hours of Monday when the region was battered by 90mph Hurricane Irene.

Flames quickly ravaged the wood and stone mansion forcing those inside, which included Miss Winslet and her two young children, to run for their lives in their pyjamas.

Blaze: Guests watch helplessly as the home of Richard Branson burns on his private Necker Island

According to Sir Richard, courageous Miss Winslet acted like a true Hollywood heroine as she swept his 90-year-old mother Eve into her arms and helped carry her to safety as the mansion crumbled around them.

Also present in the 20-strong party was Sir Richard’s 29-year-old daughter Holly, who had been due to marry at the eight-bedroom property, which boasts stunning views of white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, on November 20.

Inferno: Fire rages at the luxury property but thankfully all guests managed to flee to safety

Sir Richard, 61, was staying in another villa around 100 yards away with his wife Joan and son Sam and apparently ran naked towards the flames shortly after 4am.

Sam, 25, who had heard explosions coming from the house and raised the alarm, bravely rushed inside to help the guests get out. Fortunately there were no injuries.

Sir Richard said: ‘Around 20 people were in the house and they all managed to get out and they are all fine.

Hero of the hour: Actress Kate Winslet, left, and her young children were among the guests rescued by Sir Richard's son Sam, right, after the fire broke out on Necker Island

‘We had a really bad tropical storm with winds up to 90mph. A big lightning storm came around 4am and hit the house. It took hold incredibly quickly, with flames 100ft high. It ripped through the house very quickly.

‘Sam heard explosions in the main house and raised the alarm. He and my nephew Jack rushed to the house and helped get everyone out.

‘Kate Winslet, her boyfriend and her family were there and Holly and some of her friends were also staying. My mother was there and they managed to get her out and she is fine.

‘The main house is completely destroyed and the fire is not yet completely out. My office was based in the house and I have lost thousands of photographs and my notebooks, which is very sad. But all family and friends are well – which in the end is all that really matters.’

'Completely destroyed': Sir Richard says his son, Sam, helped to evacuate some guests from the house

Exotic breaks: Richard Branson pictured with his parents Edward and Eve Branson in Morocco

Destroyed: Richard Branson's luxury home was hit by lightning last night during tropical storms in the Caribbean

Idyllic: Sir Richard says the fire, which broke out during a storm, has devastated the property

Airy: The living room of the Great House on Necker Island

Spacious: One of the eight bedrooms in the Virgin tycoon's luxury property

Necker Island is a private isle which Branson has owned since the eary Eighties, the locator map, right, shows its location in the warm, clear waters of the Caribbean sea

Tropical paradise: Sir Richard's daughter Holly was due to get married on the island later this year
